Legislation without enforcement is like faith with out works
Our Congress passed this year’s budget for 1.2 trillion dollars just for the federal government. This does not include the military, welfare, Medicaid, and so on, just rental space, maintenance, payroll, benefits, desks, meals, fuel etc, etc, etc. We get all up in arms (no pun intended) when something bad happens and the media capitalizes on the shock value. The first thing we want to do is make legislation to fix it, which cost millions of dollars. We do it over and over again. It is all a waste if it is not enforced, but we don’t seem to mind so long as we can say “see what we did”. We as Americans have the government we deserve. I believe our government is a macro of the micro, meaning if we cannot balance our own budgets, govern and protect our own children and be independent of support, how can we expect to do it as a nation. The problem is simple, bad choices have bad results, we have children we don’t want, or raise, or be responsible for, then they grow up. What type of choices will they make? After generations of this we have the United States of the unaccountable. Better known as the land of the offended and the home of the entitled. We enforce laws when it is easy and profitable or the media has capitalized on it. Much of today’s tragedies and problems are a result mental illness and what do we budget for that?
